Conversations with the Film Crew Workshops: Aug4, Sept8, Oct6, Nov3

Join host Jamie Courville for a four-part series exploring careers in NYC's film business.
Are you curious about how the film industry works? You may be familiar with the lives of the actors, but what about the people who are doing the making? Get information about these careers directly from those who are in them.
Saturday, August 4: Still Photographer
Still photographers capture images during production that will be used for the film’s marketing.
Saturday, September 8: Electrician
Electricians set up and manipulate all of the light sources on a motion picture set, and make sure power is available for all other department needs.
Saturday, October 6: Camera Assistant
Camera assistants make sure the camera is in the right place, with the correct lens and settings, and ready to function properly for each take.
Saturday, November 3: Script Supervisor
Script supervisors oversee continuity on a motion picture set, take detailed notes and make sure each scene can be edited into a coherent sequence.
Jamie Courville has spent the last two decades working with storytelling. Many of those involved wearing one hat or another in the film business. These days, she is ever exploring how to get more voices to more ears and is in production of her first feature-length documentary, "Gowanus Current."
